Notice is hereby given to all Members of the HCAA that our Sydney March General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 12 March 2024, commencing 6.30pm at the Kirribilli Club Lavender Bay.

Presenter: Brendan Josey, Deakin University
Topic: Water Demand Calculator
Brendan Josey Deakin University will be presenting an update on the HCAA's water demand investigation research project. This will include a recap on cold and heated water consumption in monitored buildings as well as the HCAA's newly developed water demand calculator! The calculator is a free web-based tool that provides an updated and more accurate method to estimate the 99th percentile (peak) demand in residential buildings.

Topic: New Proposal of System Commissioning Testing on HRB Building DWV System on RVASS
Steve and Chris' presentation will unveil a pioneering approach to commissioning DWV systems, demonstrated through a comprehensive test conducted on a 90-meter tall DWV test rig at the Aliaxis High Rise Research Center. Focused on the RVASS system, their presentation will detail the principles behind the new commissioning test, its implementation, and the consequential findings that could redefine best practices in DWV system design and maintenance for high-rise buildings.
