HCAA, Zurn and BPAA CPD event: Backflow topics
The HCAA is hosting an online CPD session for all members, on Tuesday 13 September 2022 (AEST). The event will take place at 12-1pm and all attendees will receive 1 CPD point for their attendance.
Join Zurn and the Backflow Prevention Association of Australia (BPAA) for a CPD session focusing on backflow.
The session will cover a range of backflow topics focusing on a wholistic design approach and encourage new thinking around common issues found in real world scenarios where backflow is often not considered from a design aspect.
Topics include:
- How backflow devices work
- System design and effect on backflow- downstream pumps/ fast acting shut-offs
- Using by-pass/ back-up designs on critical systems- hospitals, aged care etc
- Drainage for relief port discharge
- Design considering cost of life & servicing- not all backflow devices are the same
