Reduced Velocity Single Stack (RVASS) design considerations
Presenter: Chris Portelli, Vinidex
Designed to AS3500, an RVASS system offers flexible sanitary drainage design without the need for a performance based solution.
Chris will be chatting to us about how the RVASS systems save valuable installation space, use less material and significantly reduce stack installation time. A single stack system also means a reduced number of penetrations and associate fire protection.
The unique shape of the stack aerator maintains the core of air inside the stack which keeps the positive and negative pressures within the required limits to prevent trap seal breach. This negates the need for any additional back, cross or relief venting.
