This presentation explores the fundamental phenomena of sanitary plumbing air pressure transients and how they can compromise water seals within drainage systems. It examines how these transient pressure events may allow contaminated air and aerosols to escape unnoticed into occupied spaces, with implications for health, compliance and system design.
